Anthropology Home (Sale)

Home Decor

Recently, I stopped into Anthropology to see if they had any on sale home items that appealed to me. Anthropology is known to be a little pricey. Yet, if you find some good sale items, you can get a pretty good deal. I only bought three items (this time) and only one of them was on sale. I feel like the website has more of a selection than in-store. Both online and in-store have an extra 20% off on sale.

So onto my buys…..

The Egg Crate

image

I really like this. It’s adorable, kind of has an “old country” feel. I was really drawn to this because I never have anything to separate my hard-boiled eggs from my others eggs. This will ensure I’m not cracking a raw egg unless it’s intentional.

It’s stoneware, Dishwasher and microwave safe. The dimensions are 2.75″H, 6″W, 4″D

I feel like you could also use this as a ring/jewelry holder.

City Vignette Mug

Next I bought a mug….I have a mug collecting problem, I am aware of this. This was so beautiful, I could not resist. There are four other cities in the collection, but obviously I choose San Francisco. It’s a great quality mug with different landmarks from all over the city. (So much better than a tourist one.)

This mug has the best details all over. These are perfect gift ideas. I would consider getting all four if they ever end up on sale. The mug is Stoneware, Dishwasher and microwave safe. It’s 16 oz and Is 4.5″H, 5″ diameter.

Annees Folles Matchbox

image

These are an online exclusive. I went in-stores to order these as a gift. I bought the two different colors and had the greatest hopes for them despite the bad reviews. In pictures, they don’t look bad but in real life they look extremely cheap and Low quality. I do not recommend buying these unless they are on clearance. I returned these as soon as they arrived. The box has 100 matches and is made from paper.

Annees Folles Matchbox – Retails for $6.00 each

You never know when you can find a good deal at Anthro!

Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale

Home Decor

I was never super into Bath & Body Works. Sure, I used to occasionally stop in and buy a candle as a gift or help out my mom pick out a new soap for our kitchen, but that was about the extent of it. Now that I’m getting older, I appreciate home goodies and I even get excited about buying them. I feel like Bath & Body Works is becoming more chic, and I’m just going to let it happen.

As you might know, Bath & Body Works is currently having their Semi-Annual Sales online and in stores. I figured this was a perfect time to stock up on all the summertime scents. The first thing I do before any sale is research. I browse online and pick out what I might like, so when I arrive in the store I can easily pick them out, sniff and check out. I also like to get the best deal, so I always checkout websites like retailmenot.com and I always sign up for my favorite stores email offers. It’s a great way to find out about new products and promotions. Currently, Bath & Body Works is having a $10 off $40 or more. The code online is TEN4U and in stores it’s 5475.

My mall does not open until 10AM and I stopped in around 12:30PM. Now onto my buys…..

I bought five candles and five hand soaps. I decided to skip the lotions because I already have plenty of my favorites from different companies.

Since I got there kind of early, I pick up three 2014 limited edition candles and two spring 2015 candles. Ranging 50-75% off. Each are 3 wick candles, 14.5 oz and burns approximately 25-45 hours each. *I received $10 off the purchase, so the “sale price” is after all the discounts.

Pumpkin Sugared Doughnut (Limited Edition 2014) Retail Price $22.50 – Sale Price $4.69

As soon as I smelled this, I know I had to buy it. It’s going to be perfect for the fall time. I’m probably going to light this in my kitchen or bedroom. The label describes this scent as “freshly baked Pumpkin doughnut made with autumn sugar and spice and everything nice.” Bottom line, it smells like a delicious fresh-baked fall donut.

Apple flower (Spring 2015.) Retail Price $22.50 – Sale Price $4.69

This is easily one of my favorite candles that I picked up. Apple scents are always my first pick. This one is no different. It smells like fresh picked apples. It’s very crisp. Bath & body works describes this as “A pretty springtime blend of soft pink Apple blossoms, crisp apple slices and green citrus leaves.” This would smell great in the kitchen!

Cinnamon Caramel Swirl (Winter 2014) Retail Price $22.50 – Sale price $9.38

This smells like a Cinnamon bun with a hint of caramel and vanilla. It has a really nice dessert smell to it. This is another candle that will be perfect on a cool night in the fall. The label describes it as “the Ultimate blend of creamy caramel, cinnamon and sweet vanilla creates the most delectable treat.”

Lemon Verbena (2014) Retail Price $22.50 – Sale Price $4.69

I love lemon, zesty scents. This one is no different. This has a perfect amount of lemon and a tiny bit of cream to make this perfect combo. I personally love a good lemon scent in the kitchen. The label describes this as “the luscious lemon scent of the plant that grows on country roads in Provence inspired a sunny blend of vena blossoms and lily of the valley leaves.”

Sundress (Spring 2015) Retail Price $22.50 – Sale Price $ 9.38

This is a scent I usually do not gravitate towards, but I can see this quickly becoming a favorite of mine. It’s super fresh and has a slight beach feel to it. It also smells like fresh laundry. It is described by Bath & Body works as “Easy and breezy as a sunny day on the pouch, this blend of bright day lilies, tonka beans and bergamot is a beautiful new style of fragrance.” I would light this in the living room to make the house smell super fresh.

Now onto the soaps. I bought two gentle foaming hand soaps and three deep cleaning hand soaps. The foaming soaps are 8.75 fl oz and the Deep Cleaning soaps are 8 fl oz. All soaps are in the Spring 2015 collections.

Sunrise Sail ( All American Summer Collection) Retail Price $6.50 – Sale price $2.50

The packaging on all the “All American a summer Collection” is wonderful. I bought this particular soap in the foaming version. The smell is sweet and tangy. It is the perfect spring/summertime soap. “A blend of fresh orange, crushed cranberries, and creamy vanilla.”

Pink Grapefruit (2015) Retail Price $6.50 – Sale Price $2.51

This is the other foaming soap that I purchased. This is a bitter-sweet smell. I really like the smell of grapefruit/orange combination because it’s sweet but also has a sour after smell. It’s describes as “a citrus blend of ripe pink grapefruit and Valencia orange plucked from the trees.”

Southern Lemon Chiffon(2015) Retail Price $6.50 – Sale Price $2.71

Wow, this has to be one of my favorite soap scents. I bought this in the deep cleaning form. Back home, my mom always bought this for our kitchen. It has a very strong smell of lemon meringue or lemon chiffon and I love it. The label says “this addictive dessert is a sweet southern tradition.”

Perfect Beach Day (All American Summer Collection) Retail Sale $6.50 – Sale Price $2.50

I decided to buy this soap in the deep cleansing. This smells amazing. It’s very sweet and reminds me of candy or a fruity cocktail. The label reads “Watery Melon, young coconut and bergamot.”

Driftwood Surf (All American Summer Collection) Retail Sale $6.50 – Sale Price $2.50

This is way different from the other soaps I had bought. It’s the equivalent of the Sundress candle to the others. I bought this in the deep cleansing form. It’s kind of smells like cologne with a hint of blossom. I actually really like it. Bath & body works described it as ” Nectarine Blossom, Ocean Driftwood & Warm Amber.”

That is all, I hope this helped if you are out and about looking for some new goodies.
